The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) ("we," "us," or "our") recognizes the importance of privacy. This privacy policy applies to the AMCS Mobile Application, developed and designed to strengthen transparency and digital connectivity at the Dairy Cooperative Society (DCS) level.

By using the service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this privacy policy.

1. Interpretation and Definitions

• Account: A unique account created for you to access our service or parts of our service.
• Application (App): The software program provided by the company downloaded by you on any electronic device, named National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).
• Company: (referred to as either "the company", "we", "us" or "our") refers to National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).
• Personal Data: Any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
• Service: Refers to the service availed via the application.
• You: The individual accessing or using the service (e.g., DCS Secretary, Official), or the legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing the service.

2. Collecting and Using Your Data

To provide the core business operations of milk procurement and society management, the application collects two categories of data: General Personal Data and Operational/Transactional Data.

A. Personal Data

While using our service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. This includes:

• Member Details: Name, Member Code and Mobile Number.
• Cattle Information: Type of cattle (cow/buffalo) and herd details.
• Bank Details: Information required to process member payment cycles and settlements.

B. Operational and Transactional Data

The application records real-time operational data required for the dairy value chain, including:

• Milk Procurement: Quantity, Fat%, SNF% (Solid Not Fat), and quality parameters of milk collected.
• Financial Records: Milk rates, bill heads, payment registers, and member ledger details.
• Inventory & Logistics: Records of cattle feed, stock receipts, and tanker dispatch details.

C. Usage and Technical Data

Usage data is collected automatically when using the service.

• Device Logs: Device ID and logs for crash reporting and troubleshooting.
• • Local Database: The application stores procurement data locally on your device (SQLite/NoSQL) before syncing with the server.

3. Permissions and Device Access

To deliver key features of the application, we request specific permissions.

User Control: You can enable or disable any of these permissions through your device's settings at any time. Disabling some permissions may limit certain features of the Service.

i. Bluetooth & Location

• Purpose: Required to communicate with external hardware (weighing scales and milk analysers) using the Wisense (Wireless) communication protocol.
• Location Use: To fetch the user's current location for location-based services and hardware discovery. Location data is used in real-time and is not permanently stored on our servers.

ii. Read SMS Permission

• Purpose: To autofill One-Time Passwords (OTPs) during the user authentication process for a seamless login experience.
• Use: The app only accesses OTP messages with your explicit consent and does not share this data with external parties.

iii. Camera Access

• Purpose: To capture images or upload attachments directly from your device (e.g., dispatch slips, cattle photos) for record-keeping.

iv. Storage (Read/Write)

• Purpose: Required to store transaction data locally in the mobile database and to perform Backup & Restore functions for society data.

v. Biometrics

• Purpose: To enhance security through biometric authentication (fingerprint/face recognition) where supported.

4. How We Use Your Information
The company may use personal data for the following purposes:

• Core Operations: To record milk collection, calculate milk prices based on Rate Charts, and manage billing.
• Synchronization: To sync master and transaction data between the mobile application and the central NDDB AMCS platform (Union Portal) via secure REST APIs.
• To Manage Your Account: To manage your registration and access to different functionalities available to you as a registered DCS official.
• Hardware Integration: To capture weight and quality parameters directly from milk analysers.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

• Retention: We will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy.
• Transactional Records: Milk collection records are financial data. They are stored locally and on the central server and retained according to the administrative policies of NDDB and the milk union for audit and legal compliance.
• Deletion Rights: You have the right to request that we assist in deleting the personal data that we have collected about you. However, please note that we may need to retain certain information (like financial transaction logs) when we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.

6. Data Security

We implement robust security measures to protect your data:

• Secure Architecture: The backend utilizes secure components including Spring Boot, Redis (Cache), and RabbitMQ (Message Queue) to ensure data integrity.
• Encryption: Data is synchronized using secure REST APIs.
• Disclaimer: While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, remember that no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Disclosure of Your Personal Data

• Union Integration: Data collected is synchronized with the NDDB Union Portal and is accessible by the relevant milk union for procurement planning.
• Service Providers: We work with technical partners who assist in the development and maintenance of the application.
• Law Enforcement: Under certain circumstances, the company may be required to disclose your personal data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

8. Children's Privacy

Our service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.
